The long stay visa O-A or O-X are the only convenient Thai Visa besides the Thai Elite Visa which is a bit more expensive https://www.thaievisa.go.th/long-stay-visa and can be applied on-line at Thai E-VISA (https://thaievisa.go.th). This VISa is typically applied for at your country!
Another way is to apply for a non-immigrant 90 day visa st home, enter the country and then apply for an EXTENSION of STAY for 1 year – this way the health insurance is not requested and the deposit of 800 000 THB (400 000 if married with a Thai) is put in a Thai Bank
